The second half of 2019...

Updated: Dec 14, 2019

After a little winter break (including four weeks travelling), I jumped back into my favourite role in late August 2019. Eleven couples rounded off the second half of 2019, with the 11th - Madelyne and Jake - becoming the 45th couple I have married.

That's 90 people who can now say

As I write this blog, for the last few weeks in NSW, we have been in the midst of terrible bush fires. Fires so severe, many non-affected areas have orange skies and ash showers. Homes and Habitats have been lost. Some wedding venues in the Hunter Valley have had to cancel events, leaving couples scrambling for an alternative.

If you are reading this blog at the end of 2019, and want to know how you can help - visit the RFS website -

"Becky Married Me was honestly the most easy process of our whole wedding. From the moment we got in contact with Becky to when we signed our wedding certificate. All the guest raved about her after the ceremony and she managed to crack even the toughest guests with SO MANY happy tears. Becky let us have the most memorable ceremony and I couldn’t recommend her enough!!"

Jess & Conor - 28 September 2019 - Belmont 16s

"Omg Becky where do we start!?!

From our first meeting we knew you were the celebrant for us, you are young, fun and so full of life!! We didn’t give you much material to work with as we are hopeless when it comes to all of that lovey dovey stuff but you somehow made it work and our ceremony was everything we hoped for and more!!

We had soo many compliments from our friends and family, they even want you to be their celebrant!! We really hope to cross paths with you in the future, thank you a million times over!!

Love Mr & Mrs Lynch :)"

Tara & Andy - 12 October 2019 - Pines Picnic Area, Watagans Forest

Photographer: Wolf & Wildflower

"where to start... Becky married my fiance Tara and I last week in the watagans pine forest and it was the most MAGICAL ceremony I have ever had the pleasure to witness/be a part of.

Tara and I photograph weddings during our weekends, and we see many great ceremonies... But none like the one Becky delivered for us on our special day. she had us in tears, she made us laugh and helped everyone in the forest feel the love that Tara and I shared.

The only bad thing is that we can only get married once... I think we may need to get divorced and remarry a few times just to relive the experience a few times.

also, can you officiate an opulent puppy naming day ceremony? asking for a friend.

p.s. We love you Becky, and we don't know how we would have gotten married without you T H A N K Y O U !"

It should also be mentioned, that these two are wedding photographers too! At Starry Eyed and Spellbound

Kati & Adam - 19 October 2019 - Bargoed House

"Was an amazing celebrant. We knew Becky was the one for us the moment we met her. So calm, relaxed, professional yet fun and so down to earth. Exactly us!

The way you included our kids in the ceremony was beyond what I imagined. Rubi and Demi are so excited to take their marriage certificates to school/preschool tomorrow for news!"

"Very happy to say that Becky married me (and Frank!) We loved our ceremony so much, it was so original, so full of love and fun, and so US!

Becky crafted such a gorgeous ceremony, that made us and our guests both laugh and shed a few tears. One of the first things our guests complimented us on was Becky, her delivery was flawless and they’d never been to a ceremony quite like it!

We’re very lucky to have found Becky to be our celebrant and would highly recommend her to anyone that is getting married, she couldn’t be more helpful before and after the wedding for anything we needed, and was just so freaking lovely!!

Thank you so much Becky ❤️ Liz and Frank Piccolo"

Jacqui & Duncan - 15 November 2019 - Taronga Zoo

Documenting the one time it was perfectly acceptable to wear leopard print as a marriage celebrant - I made a "cougar" joke that went down a treat with the guests too...

"Dear Bec,

Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our big day! You were hilarious, thoughtful & made it so personal! You really made the day so much better than it already was. We can't begin to thank you enough!"

"Extremely professional, down to earth, easy to talk to, hilarious and is making the whole process very easy! Would recommend Becky to anyone looking for a celebrant!"

Freya & Brent - 30 November 2019 - The Edwards

How to describe Becky Married Me? Well, when I think of Becky, who was our celebrant on 30th Nov 2019 at our wedding at The Edwards, the words “charismatic”, “adorable”, “fun”, “engaging”, “warm”, “creative”, “full of laughter”, “extremely good looking”, “wonderful”, and “knows her shit” comes to mind (excuse my French).

When we met Becky, her radiant personality shone through as we talked about cookies, puppies and weddings. She immediately came off as someone that we could trust to produce the most amazing, unique ceremony for our wedding. Throughout the process, Becky was patient and, once again, she knew her shit. We had a few adjustments here and there that had to be made and Becky was 100% present and open with us the entire time.

When the big day came, we were so thrilled with her genuine joy whilst conducting the ceremony. She created the most beautiful ceremony for us, full of love, laughter, and everything in between.

We are so thankful to have had Becky as our celebrant. We can’t imagine anyone else doing the job as spectacularly as she did.

To Becky: Thank you for everything that you did. We are so, so, so blessed to have you. Thank you

Madelyne & Jake - 7 December 2019 - Lovedale Chapel & Reception

Photographer: Wolf & Wildflower

"Where do I start about Becky! First of all she is such a fun person and totally brought that into our wedding ceremony. Her engagement, energy and vibrancy is just amazing and what we wanted in our light and fun ceremony!

Our ceremony was just perfect! She incorporated all our little quirks into it and all our family and friends couldn’t stop talking about how magical and amazing our ceremony was!! Becky was so full of advice with everything along the way! She went above and beyond and totally didn’t mind me annoyingly making a last minute change.

I can’t recommend Becky enough! Thank you so much Becky!"

Oh.... and in the second half of 2019... I GOT A PUPPY!

Definitely relevant... don't try and tell me otherwise :P
