A couple I'm marrying later this year - Tara and Andy - just so happen to run a photography business (check it out ladies and gents - https://www.sawyersphotography.com.au) and have recently entered the world of weddings.
When I met these two as their celebrant, we got along like a house on fire, bonding over our communal love of air conditioning (don't ask how we got there).
Tara finished our meeting by saying "and I wanted a celebrant who was, you know, decent looking." We laughed, but I walked away feeling pretty flattered. I was even more flattered, when Tara asked me if I would play model for the upcoming Sawyer's Photography styled shoot.
The wedding dress supplier - Belles and Beaux - needed someone tall, so the dress they provided didn't need to be altered. Enter me - 6ft Becky.

Tara and Andy also asked if I could bring my partner along to be the groom. He was busy on the scheduled day (working as a wedding DJ), so I roped in my tallest, bestest friend Nick to stand by my side and be my fake groom. He knows his way around a camera - he was on Masterchef a few years ago!

A styled shoot is when a number of wedding suppliers come together and provide their services to created a simulated wedding photoshoot. The photographer gets to show off their craft and the other suppliers get access to the photos to show off theirs.
In an instance of life imitating art - things didn't quite go to plan on the big day. The original hairdresser was unwell, the replacement had to travel from an actual wedding, and the day ran later than planned. Much like many real weddings! But the show must always go on - rain, hail or shine.
Undeterred, the Sawyer's Photography duo pulled off this gorgeous evening shoot in the Watagans. It...is... a... MOOD! Nick and I had so much fun spending the afternoon and evening with Tara and Andy. They made us feel so comfortable (particularly because we're aren't a real couple and I am in a long-term relationship! haha!). I never thought I could enjoy having my photograph taken so much, we had a bloody blast!
An awesome team of wedding vendors worked to bring this Styled shoot to life: Models - Becky Married Me & Nick Harvey-Doyle Photographers - Sawyers Photography Dress - Belles and Beaux Bridal Suit - Rundle Tailoring Hair - Grace Nicoll MUA - Alicia's Makeup Artistry Florals - Couture Botanical I must say, I'm usually very particular about my makeup (and I'm very fair) - and my hair is difficult on the best of days. It's thick, currently short and growing out a shaved undercut. Alicia and Grace made me feel absolutely glam!
Nick said he walked in to Rundle Tailoring, the store assistant took one look at him and picked out a perfectly fitting suit - like a magician! Perfectly complimented by Couture Botanical's florals.
Check out my instagram (@beckymarriedme) for more pictures, a highlight reel, and the insta handles of the above vendors. But for now, here is a selection for you to perv at.... If you get in touch with any of these awesome vendors, tell them Becky Married Me sent ya!
